WNI 9-22-10 It's a Homerun
We had some obstacles last night. It's homecoming week for Osage. Wednesday is traditionally "activity night." We made WNI shorter so the students could get over to the field and enjoy the games and such. Still, we were missing some students who either left early or didn't come to WNI at all. We also had to meet in the gym instead of the sanctuary. Despite all the obstacles (competition, less time, less than ideal venue) WNI was still a great night. The music was great. The students sang a new song, "Our God," like they had sung it a hundred times. Charlie's testimony time was great. Both he and Kelsey had encouraging testimonies. All of this was great set-up for Corey Casey. I ask him to share his story so the students could get to know him a little better. He hit a home run. His lesson was a perfect mix of truth, passion, and conviction. After WNI I snuck over to activity night. . .no competition. I would choose WNI over Homecoming activity night every time.
